What does the volunteer work look like?

Training
You don't need any previous experience. We will introduce you to the work of Nightline over a whole weekend and teach you active listening and everything else you need to know. The training always takes place at the beginning of the semester and is a prerequisite for working on the phone service.
Flexibility
Are you currently in exam season or have a lot going on in your personal life? No problem. Volunteering is always flexible—you only do as much as suits you.
Welfare
Volunteering at Nightline can sometimes be emotionally stressful. That's why there is a team you can turn to if you need someone to talk to.
Teambuilding
Regular meetings give you the opportunity to get to know the members outside of club activities in a relaxed setting, whether it's a casual game night or bouldering.
Confirmation of volunteer service
If you apply for a job or scholarship, you will receive a volunteer certificate upon request.
What is there to do?

Telephone service
The telephone service accepts calls from students Monday through Thursday between 9 p.m. and midnight. In confidential conversations, they listen to students' concerns, problems, and personal challenges.

Public Relations
In public relations, volunteers can design Instagram posts, create promotional materials, and staff information booths. The goal is to raise awareness of Nightline and reach new students.

Training & Supervision
In this working group, volunteers support the planning, implementation, and follow-up of training courses for new members. They also help organize supervision sessions in collaboration with the supervisor.

Teambuilding
In the area of team building, volunteers organize joint events and activities for members. These activities promote interaction and getting to know each other outside of telephone service.
